     Sara Jane Allen, daughter of William Lemual Allen and Margarette Jane Montgomery, was born on 6 March 1850 at Camden, Wilcox County, Alabama. Sara Jane Allen was the daughter of William Lemual Allen and Margarette Jane Montgomery.1

Sara Jane Allen married Pendleton Clay Welborn, son of James Lawrence Welborn and Tabitha Welch, on 16 September 1866 at Errata, Jones County, Mississippi.

1. I will, devise and bequeath unto my son, R. A. Welborn, all the real estate that I may own at the time of my death.

2. I will, devise, and bequeath to my son, R. A. Welborn, and unto my daughter, Mrs. Maggie McLaurin, share and share alike all the other property that I may own at the time of my death, real, personal, and mixed, of every kind, class, or description and wherever located.

I hereby appoint as the executor of this my last will and testament the Commercial National Bank & Trust Company of Laurel, Mississippi.

In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand to this my last will and testament in the presence of witnesses, on this the 9th day of July, A.D. 1925.

Sara Jane Allen died on 6 April 1930 at Jasper County, Mississippi, at age 80. and was buried at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Stringer, Jasper County, Mississippi.1 Jasper County Mississippi Cemeteries 1833 - 1998 lists Sara Jane Allen's burial as the Bay Springs city Cemetery in Bay Springs, Jasper County, Mississippi. This researcher, however, found her headstone at the Liberty Cemetery.9
