     Jacob Bottenfield, son of Hans Adam Battenfeld and Maria Elizabeth Pauster, was born in 1766 at Manheim, York County, Pennsylvania.2,3 His surname may have been Potterfield.2,3 Jacob Bottenfield was the son of Hans Adam Battenfeld and Maria Elizabeth Pauster.2

Jacob Bottenfield married Elizabeth Emeris on 18 September 1798 at Frederick, Frederick County, Maryland.2,1

Jacob Bottenfield left a will on 11 February 1815 at Loudoun County, Virginia, His will lists his wife as Elizabeth and also lists 7 children: sons Samuel, Adam, and Jacob; daughters Viz (only an approximation because of poor copy), Mary, Elizabeth, Catharine, and Leah. His executor is listed as his brother Henry.4,5

Jacob Bottenfield died circa 1816 at Loudoun County, Virginia.3,4
