     Church S. Bottenfield, son of Shadrach Mitchell Bottenfield and Sarah Elizabeth McCormic, was born on 12 December 1866 at Ohio.2,3 Church S. Bottenfield was the son of Shadrach Mitchell Bottenfield and Sarah Elizabeth McCormic.

Church S. Bottenfield appeared on the United States census of 1870 in the household of Shadrach Mitchell Bottenfield at Fairview, Labette County, Kansas.4

Church S. Bottenfield appeared on the United States census of 1880 in the household of Shadrach Mitchell Bottenfield at Labette County, Kansas.5

Church S. Bottenfield appeared on the State census of 1885 in the household of Shadrach Mitchell Bottenfield at Fremont County, Colorado.6

Church S. Bottenfield appeared on the State census of 1900 in the household of Shadrach Mitchell Bottenfield at Lafayette, Boulder County, Colorado, listed as Engineer.7

Church S. Bottenfield married Lucy Mae Green on 30 May 1901 at Ward County, Colorado.8,2,9

In 1910, Church S. Bottenfield appeared on the United States Census, at Searchlight Township, Clark County, Nevada, Church is listed as an engineer in a gold mine.10

Church S. Bottenfield lived in 1913 at Cameo, Mesa County, Colorado; Church was apparently living in Cameo, Colorado at the time of his mother's death in 1913. He was still listed as living in Cameo in 1916 when his father passed away.11

Church S. Bottenfield lived in 1919; At the time of his brother Elmer's death in 1919, Church was apparently living in Palisade, Colorado.12

In 1920, Church S. Bottenfield appeared on the United States Census, at Mesa County, Colorado.8

In 1930, Church S. Bottenfield appeared on the United States Census, at Petaluma, Sonora County, California, Church is listed as an electrician, son Elmer is a plasterer, son Ernest is a printer.13

In April 1940, Church S. Bottenfield appeared on the United States Census, at Longview, Cowlitz County, Washington, Son Ernest was working as a crane operator in a lumber mill. Longview, Washington is on the Columbia River and lumber was and continues to be a major industry there. There was also in the household, a grandson by the name of Clifford E. Bottenfield but it is unknown who his parents are.14

Church S. Bottenfield died on 30 December 1947 at Longview, Cowlitz County, Washington, at age 81.15
