Estelle Arnott, daughter of James Hunter Arnott and Ella Estelle Bottenfield, was born on 21 May 1915 at Crested Butte, Gunnison County, Colorado. Estelle Arnott was the daughter of James Hunter Arnott and Ella Estelle Bottenfield.

On March 7, 1918, the Elk Mountain Pilot reported: "The little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Arnott is reportedly seriously ill with pneumonia." Then on March 14, 1918, "The little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Arnott is reported very much improved." Since 1918 was the year of a flu epidemic, it may have been connected to Estelle's illness.2

Estelle Arnott appeared on the United States census of 1920 in the household of James Hunter Arnott at Crested Butte, Gunnison County, Colorado.3

Estelle Arnott appeared on the United States census of 1930 in the household of James Hunter Arnott at Crested Butte, Gunnison County, Colorado.45

Estelle Arnott married Robert Kerr on 10 November 1934 at Gunnison County, Colorado.5

Estelle Arnott appeared on the United States census of 10 April 1940 in the household of Robert Kerr at Crested Butte, Gunnison, Colorado.6

An interesting story Estelle shared with this researcher: Many years after Estelle had left Crested Butte she was sitting in a waiting room at John Muir Hospital in the San Francisco, CA, Bay Area, when she noticed a man also waiting who was wearing a baseball cap that said Crested Butte. She finally got up the nerve to ask him if he was from there. After some conversation they discovered that they had grown up together. It was Roger Campbell.

Estelle was with her grandmother, Sadie Bottenfield, when she died in Denver. Several family members were taking turns being with Sadie as she lay dying of what Estelle called "pernicious anemia." This was probably leukemia. It happened that Estelle was the one with Sadie when she died. Afterwards Estelle went back to Crested Butte with Fern and Bill Bailey because they were heading back. She did not attend the funeral.7

Estelle Arnott died on 18 July 2002 at Concord, Contra Costa County, California, at age 87. At one point I (this compiler) inadvertantly posted the death place for Estelle as Concord, Washington. This was a typo on my part and the correct information is Concord, California. All attempts have been made to correct this error.1,8 and was buried at Oakmont Memorial Park, Lafayette, Contra Costa County, California.9
