     Mary Louise Wilson, was born on 22 October 1852 at Dodgeville, Iowa County, Wisconsin, Her parents were Stephen and Ellen (Wigginton) Wilson. Her father, a carpenter in Dodgeville, was born in Virginia in 1828 and died in 1859. Her mother was born in Illinois in 1833 and dien in 1901. There were two siblings.11

Mary Louise Wilson married Luke Elam, son of Benjamin Elam and Nancy France, on 22 November 1882 at Dodgeville, Iowa County, Wisconsin, Luke and Louise had 6 children, two of whom died in infancy.1,2
