Henry Welch, son of Richard Welch and Mary Stuart, was born in 1788 at Sumter District, Sumter County, South Carolina.2 Henry Welch was the son of Richard Welch and Mary Stuart.

The members of the household of Henry Welch in 1820 and 1830 cause this researcher to wonder if it is the same Henry Welch listed in those censuses as listed in the 1860 census. The ages don't line up well and the ages of Henry and his wife Sarah Page seem suspicious, the last child, Timothy Allen Welch, being born when Sarah was in her late 40's. More research is required.6,7,8

Henry Welch married Sarah Page.
