Destemonia Welch died on 25 September 1862 at Jones County, Mississippi, at age 33. and was buried in 1988 at Union Line Cemetery, Jones County, Mississippi. Apparently Destemonia was originally buried in the Valentine Cemetery and was moved to the Union Line Cemetery in 1988.5,6
