     Thomas Welborn, son of Aaron Welborn Sr. and Elizabeth Younger, was born on 11 July 1789 at Anderson County, South Carolina.1 Thomas Welborn was the son of Aaron Welborn Sr. and Elizabeth Younger.1

In "A Collection of Upper South Carolina Genealogical and Family Records" we read:

     The old Wellborn home place in 1790 was East of Old West Pelzer School House. At this place Thomas Wellborn was born 1 Aug. 1790. He married Polly (Mary) Martin a daughter of Thomas Martin and Hester Roundtree born in 1770. They had 12 children, from this family are the Wellborns, Martins, Bennetts, Hoggs, Rogers, Elrods, Celeys, McWhorters, Pickens, Coxc, Poores, Richardsons, Manlys, Smiths, and others, some went to Missouri and Texas. Most settled around Palestine, Fosterville, and Whiteboro, Texas.2

Thomas Welborn married Mary "Polly" Martin, daughter of Thomas Martin and Hester Roundtree, circa 1810.1

On 10 September 1850, Thomas Welborn appeared on the United States Census, at Anderson County, South Carolina.3

On 18 July 1860, Thomas Welborn appeared on the United States Census, at Anderson County, South Carolina.4

Thomas Welborn died on 1 August 1869 at Willmington, Anderson County, South Carolina, at age 80.1 and was buried at Big Creek Cemetery, Williamston, Anderson County, South Carolina.1,5
