     James Welborn Jr., son of James Welborn Sr. and Isabella Mary Teague, was born on 17 August 1764 at Rowan County, North Carolina.1 James Welborn Jr. was the son of James Welborn Sr. and Isabella Mary Teague.1

James Welborn Jr. married Rebecca Younger, daughter of James Younger and Anna Nash, circa 1784 at Chatham, Rowan County, North Carolina.1

In "A Collection of Upper South Carolina Genealogical and Family Records" it says:

     James Wellborn a "Deacon" is listed on the Old Big Creek Church records in the roll for 1801 as also his wife Rebecca. This Church was established by Moses Holland around 1788 who lies buried there in the old cemetery. James Wellborn left here in 1812 and went "West." His son William born 1798 remained here. He married Nancy Waddell.2

On November 23, 1816, in Anderson County, South Carolina, James Welborn sold land to Aaron Welborn from Kentucky. James Jr., lived in Kentucky before moving to Missouri in 1818.1

James Welborn Jr. died on 2 August 1841 at St. Francois County, Missouri, at age 76.1
