     Aaron Welborn Sr., son of James Welborn Sr. and Isabella Mary Teague, was born on 13 October 1760 at Rowan County, North Carolina.2,3 Aaron Welborn Sr. was the son of James Welborn Sr. and Isabella Mary Teague.3

Aaron Welborn Sr. married Elizabeth Younger, daughter of James Younger and Anna Nash, in 1782 at Rowan County, North Carolina.2,3

In "A Collection of Upper South Carolina Genealogical and Family Records" we read:

     James and Aaron Wellborn, were living in Old 96 Dist. which was called Pendleton Dist. now Anderson Co. in 1790. Both were in the revolutionary war. Both had a land grant South of White Plains Church, between Williamston and Allen Shoals on Saluda River. James and Aaron married sisters Rebecca and Elizabeth Younger, daughters of James Younger who was born 1737."4

Monroe & Lanora Houston in "Descendents of Aaron Welborn and Lucy Stevenson Welborn" state that a Herman Welborn told them "The Aaron Welborn that came to Jones Co. was Aaron II of Wilks Co., S.C. Wife of Aaron I was Elizabeth Younger. Aaron I was a gunsmith during the war of 1812. Two brothers and one sister came to Jones Co. with Aaron II. One was Billy who was a blacksmith at Cowan (now SoSo) and was buried west of town in an unmarked grave. The other brother was Younger Welborn, and was buried at his old place. The original name was DeMonford."2



Aaron Welborn Sr. died on 6 October 1843 at Anderson County, South Carolina, at age 82.3

Aaron Welborn Sr. left a will after 6 October 1843 Aaron's will may be ordered:
