     Elizabeth Travis, daughter of Ezekiel Travis and Martha Jane Granberry, was born on 25 August 1820 at Amite County, Mississippi.1,2 Elizabeth Travis was the daughter of Ezekiel Travis and Martha Jane Granberry.3

Elizabeth Travis married William Powell Cherry after 1837 at Mississippi.3

Mary Collins Landin says, "they lived in Jasper County, then moved first to Oklahoma, then back to northern Louisiana, where they are buried."1

Elizabeth Travis appeared on the United States census of 4 October 1850 in the household of William Powell Cherry at Paulding, Jasper County, Mississippi.4

Elizabeth Travis appeared on the United States census of 28 July 1870 in the household of William Powell Cherry at Union Parish, Louisiana.5

On 14 June 1880, Elizabeth Travis appeared on the United States Census, at Union Parish, Louisiana, Elizabeth, widowed, is living in the home of her son William and his young family.6

Elizabeth Travis died on 3 February 1897 at Union Parish, Louisiana, at age 76.3 and was buried at Spearsville Cemetery, Union Parish, Louisiana.3,7
