     Alexander Travis, son of Barrett Travis and Ann Smallwood, was born on 22 May 1770 at South Carolina. Alexander Travis was the son of Barrett Travis and Ann Smallwood.

In "Three Roads to the Alamo" William Davis states that Alexander was an evangelist - Missionary Baptist.2

In 1820, it is reported that Alexander had 6 slaves.3

Alexander Travis died in 1823 at Evergreen, Conecuh County, Alabama.
