     Lucy Stevenson, was born circa 1797 at North Carolina or South Carolina.11

Lucy Stevenson married Aaron Welborn, son of James Welborn Jr. and Rebecca Younger, in 1814 at Pendleton District, South Carolina, Henry Cobb, Esq., officiated at this marriage.1,2

Lucy Stevenson appeared on the United States census of 1850 in the household of Aaron Welborn at Jones County, Mississippi.3

Lucy Stevenson appeared on the United States census of 1860 in the household of John Calhoun Welborn at Ellisville, Jones County, Mississippi.4

Lucy Stevenson appeared on the United States census of 1870 in the household of Matilda A. Welborn at Ellisville, Jones County, Mississippi.5

On April 3, 1878, Lucy Welborn, aged 81 and resident of Jones County, Arkansas, applied for a pension as widow of Aaron Welborn, Sergeant in Capt. Jacob Reed's Company, Col. William Austin's Regiment of S.C. Militia, Jan 1, 1815 through April 1, 1815. She was blind in her old age; she signed the pension application by a mark. She was a native of North Carolina.6

Lucy Stevenson Welborn applied for Widow's Pension due to infirmity of age.7

Lucy Stevenson died circa 1878 at Jones County, Mississippi.1 and was buried at Welborn Family Farm, Jones County, Mississippi. There is also a memorial marker for Aaron Welborn and his wife Lucy Stevenson Welborn at the Old Antioch Cemetery in Gitano, Jones County, Mississippi.8,9
