     Jessie James Stevens, son of Alford Stevens and Rebecca Angeline Fletcher, was born on 4 January 1888 at Grant Parish, Louisiana.1,2 Jessie James Stevens was the son of Alford Stevens and Rebecca Angeline Fletcher.1

Jessie James Stevens appeared on the United States census of 1900 in the household of Alford Stevens at Grant Parish, Louisiana.3

Jessie James Stevensenlisted for service in World War II on 5 June 1917 at Harris, Meriwether County, Georgia. He was 29 years old, married and reported to be farming. He is described as tall and slender with brown hair and eyes. He signed his registration as J.J. Stevens.4

Jessie James Stevens died on 4 July 1969 at age 81.1 and was buried at Couley Methodist Cemetery, St. Maurice, Winn Parish, Louisiana.1
