     Alice Joyce Stevens, daughter of William Adkins Stevens and Beulah Elizabeth Ainsworth, was born on 31 December 1920 at Starkville, Oktibbeha County, Mississippi.2 Alice Joyce Stevens also went by the name of Susie.1 She was the daughter of William Adkins Stevens and Beulah Elizabeth Ainsworth.

Alice Joyce Stevens married Thomas Ellsworth Arnott, son of James Hunter Arnott and Ella Estelle Bottenfield, on 18 October 1943 at Denver, Denver County, Colorado.55

Alice Joyce Stevens was a receptionist for an insurance company prior to her marriage, soon after the birth of her eldest daughter, and then again beginning about 1963. In 1963 she took this position in order to save for her daughters' college. Discovering that she enjoyed working, however, she continued to, even after the daughters had graduated and/or moved on in their lives.1

Alice Joyce Stevens died on 30 April 1996 at Denver, Denver County, Colorado, at age 75. She had metastatic breast cancer.6,7 She was buried at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Denver County, Colorado.1
