     Adkin Stevens, son of James Stevens and Belinda Stevens, was born on 15 September 1833 at Pike County, Alabama.1 Adkin Stevens was the son of James Stevens and Belinda Stevens.1

Adkin Stevens appeared on the United States census of 1850 in the household of James Stevens at Pike County, Alabama.2

Adkin Stevens began military service on 13 March 1862 at Quitman, Clarke County, Mississippi. S.H. Terrall's Company, The Clark County Rescuers, 37th Regiment, Mississippi Confederate Volunteers. Enrolled for the term of three years or for the war. Enlisted as a private..3,4

Adkin Stevens died on 5 June 1862 at Columbus, Lowndes County, Mississippi, at age 28. Adkin's death occured while he was serving in the 37th Regiment, Mississippi Volunteers. His military service record does not indicate the cause of his death.5,4
