Jerome Dominic Prasifka, son of Frank R. Prasifka and Emelie (?), was born on 2 July 1909 at Jourdanton, Atascosa County, Texas. Jerome Dominic Prasifka was the son of Frank R. Prasifka and Emelie (?).

In Origin and Genealogy of the Prasifka and Related Families it says:

Jerry Prasifka and his parents lived in Fayetteville, until 1914, when they moved to Richland, Navarro County, Texas; where his maternal grandparents lived. In the fall of 1918, they moved to Lone Star, Cherokee County, Texas, where they rented a farm until the fall of 1921, when they bought a farm near Jourdanton, Atascosa County, Texas. It was frontier country, plenty of wild animals and rattlesnakes, just what any small boy would love. After the death of his father, Frank R. Prasifka, Jr., in 1925, times were rough. The help on the place considered him too young to tell them what to do and he had to resort to carrying a 38 Smith and Wesson pistol to keep things under control. Three years later, his mother died from a stroke; his guardian and administrator, Charles Hutyra, his uncle, who was married to his mother's sister, Mary; had the farm sold to pay off their debts.

In the spring of 1929, he went to San Antonio, Texas, and worked a few months at a laundry, before going to work for the Missouri-Pacific Railroad. In February 1941, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force at Kelly Field, in San Antonio, Texas. During his tour of duty, he traveled to and from most of the Latin American countries in the South and Central Americas. His home base was Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, D.C; he was discharged in January 1946. In March of the same year, he went to work for a manufacturer of heating and air conditioning, in their expert division, where for two and a half years, he traveled throughout Latin America.

In the summer of 1948, he went into business for himself in Jourdanton, Texas; however, in October of that year, he moved to San Antonio, Texas, and established the Broadway Air Conditioning Company. In 1950, he was back in the Air Force at Brooks AFB, San Antonio, Texas, for 13 months. It was during this time that he met and married Dodie (Stevens-Cobb) Prasifka.2

Jerome Dominic Prasifka married Agnes Eudora Stevens, daughter of William Adkins Stevens and Beulah Elizabeth Ainsworth, on 13 October 1955 at San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas.2

Jerome Dominic Prasifka died on 27 June 1988 at San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas, at age 78.3 and was buried at St. Matthew's Cemetery, Jourdanton, Atascosa County, Texas.4
