     John Calhoun Lyon, son of Nicholas Lyon and Nancy Cox, was born on 9 January 1844 at Jasper County, Mississippi.2 John Calhoun Lyon was the son of Nicholas Lyon and Nancy Cox.2

John Calhoun Lyon married Artelissa Travis, daughter of Ezekiel Travis and Martha Jane Granberry, on 7 August 1867 at Heidelberg, Jasper County, Mississippi.2,3
