Beulah Elizabeth Ainsworth, daughter of William Jackson Ainsworth and Louisiana C. Welborn,, was born on 16 September 1898 at Mississippi. Beulah Elizabeth Ainsworth was the daughter of William Jackson Ainsworth and Louisiana C. Welborn. She was also known as Betty.1

Beulah Elizabeth Ainsworth appeared on the United States census of 1910 in the household of Pendleton Clay Welborn at Stringer, Jasper County, Mississippi.2

Beulah Elizabeth Ainsworth married William Adkins Stevens, son of William Archie Stevens and Anna Bell Travis, circa 1917 at Mississippi.3 Beulah Elizabeth Ainsworth and William Adkins Stevens were divorced circa 1922.1

Beulah Elizabeth Ainsworth appeared on the United States census of 1920 in the household of William Archie Stevens at Jasper County, Mississippi.4

Beulah raised her two daughters as a single parent. She was a beautician and worked until her youngest daughter graduated from high school. She bought a home in Denver on Downing street near Colfax. During the depression she was able to continue to support herself and her family because she said that women would always spend any money they got on getting her hair fixed. A popular hairdo at that time was called the Marcelle (sp?)

The story is that Beulah and Eula were raised by their aunt Brack after their mother, Louisianna died. However, in researching I have found Beulah and her sister living in the home of their Welborn grandparents. I believe that they, rather than an aunt, raised them.1
