     John married Sibbiah Morrison.1 John Edwin King, son of Josiah King and Mary Ann Catherine McClellan, was born on 13 May 1861.1 John Edwin King was the son of Josiah King and Mary Ann Catherine McClellan.1

John Edwin King married Sibbiah Elizabeth Morrison, daughter of John Pike Morrison and Louisa Francis Davis, on 14 October 1888.4

Researcher Judy Krocker reports that: "At the time of his death his nomination as State Senator over George W. Scofield in a close race was in litigation. King served as Tax Collector for Hernando County and as Postmaster of Lecanto. He served as Tax Collector for 10 years. He served as Recording Clerk for the House of Representatives in 1901. He was elected County Surveyor of Citrus County in 1912. He was elected without opposition to the Sate Senate in 1916 from the 9th District which consisted of Citrus-Hernando and Pasco County, Florida.4,5

John Edwin King died on 15 September 1928 at Citrus County, Florida, at age 67.4 and was buried at Lecanto, Citrus County, Florida.5
