     George Decatur King, son of James King and Margaret O'Neil, was born on 30 August 1816.2 A different source indicates that George Decatur King, son of James King and Margaret O'Neil, was born in 1826.1 George Decatur King was the son of James King and Margaret O'Neil.1

George Decatur King married Ellen M. Johnson on 11 November 1849 at Camden County, Georgia.3,4,2

"George Decatur...moved to Columbia County, Florida.5

On 20 August 1850, George Decatur King appeared on the United States Census, at Camden County, Georgia, George is reported to be a merchant and he and his wife Ellen are living in the home of a Maria Williams.6

On 15 June 1860, George Decatur King appeared on the United States Census, at Traders Hill, Charlton County, Georgia, George Decatur is reported to be an attorney at law.7

George Decatur King died on 28 June 1863.2

Elsewhere, it is recorded that George Decatur King died in 1889.1
