     Thomas Hunter, son of John Hunter and Mary Campbell, was born in July 1851 at Fife, Scotland.1,2 Thomas Hunter was the son of John Hunter and Mary Campbell.1

Thomas Hunter appeared on the Scotland census of 1861 in the household of John Hunter at Saline, Fife, Scotland.3

In 1871, Thomas Hunter appeared on the Scotland Census, at 33 Swallowdrum, Inverkeithing, Dunfermline Landward, Fife, Scotland, In this 1871 census, Thomas is living with James Pitcairn, age 23, and his wife and family. Later that year, in December 1871, Thomas married Euphemia Pitcairn. Probably James Pitcairn was a brother or other relative of Euphemia.4

Thomas Hunter married Euphemia Pitcairn, daughter of John Pitcairn and Mary Beveridge, on 29 December 1871 at in the Church Manse, Saline, Fife, Scotland.5

Thomas Hunter immigrated to the United States in 1879, from Scotland.2

In 1880, Thomas Hunter appeared on the United States Census, at Shafton, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.6

Thomas Hunter witnessed the marriage of John Hunter Arnott and Helen Monro on 25 September 1891 at Crested Butte, Gunnison County, Colorado; This marriage was performed by Edwin Martin, a Congregational Clergyman.7,8,9

Thomas Hunter was naturalized in 1895.10

In 1900, Thomas Hunter appeared on the United States Census, at Canon City, Fremont County, Colorado, Also reported on this census is the fact that they have had 4 children, only one of whom is still living.11

On 30 April 1910, Thomas Hunter appeared on the United States Census, at Walsenburg, Huerfano County, Colorado, an Engineer in a coal mine.12

Thomas Hunter appeared on the United States census of 1920 in the household of John Hunter at Walsenburg Town, Huerfano County, Colorado.13
