     Greer MacIlvaine Greenlee, was born on 18 November 1816.1

Greer MacIlvaine Greenlee married Lucinda Bottomfield, daughter of Adam Bottomfield and Mary Litzenberg, on 7 January 1841.1

On 19 July 1870, Greer MacIlvaine Greenlee appeared on the United States Census, at English River Township, Keokuk County, Iowa.3

On 18 June 1880, Greer MacIlvaine Greenlee appeared on the United States Census, at Lafayette Township, Harper, Keokuk County, Iowa, Daughter Eliza Ellen is living in the household and is reported to be a widow. Greer is listed as a retired farmer.4

On 22 June 1900, Greer MacIlvaine Greenlee appeared on the United States Census, at English River Township, Keokuk County, Iowa, Greer, 83, is living in the household of his son Adam Bottomfield Greenlee. He is reported to be married but his wife Lucinda is not in the household. Instead she is living with their daughter Eliza Ellen Greenlee Woodland.5

Greer MacIlvaine Greenlee died on 10 October 1901 at age 84.1 and was buried at South English Cemetery, South English, Keokuk County, Iowa.6
