     Capt. Jacob Duckworth Sr., son of Joseph Duckworth and Hester Ong, was born in 1743.1 Capt. Jacob Duckworth Sr. was the son of Joseph Duckworth and Hester Ong.1

Reportedly, Capt. Jacob Duckworth lived near his parents on the horseshoe bend of the deep riverin Cumberland County, North Carolina.1

Capt. Jacob Duckworth Sr. married Charity (?).

According to e-mail correspondent Wayne, "fought in the Revolutional the Cumberland County Militia under command of Colonel Phillip Alston."1

The military service record of Capt. Jacob Duckworth Sr. includes the following: On his memorial page,, there is the following: "American Revolution info: "For sundries furnished and cash paid the militia of North and South Carolina and Virginia allowed by the auditors of Hillsboro District . . . . . . To Captain Jacob Duckworth for militia services of himself and company and as pay roll # 5356. No. 4091." The report is undated, but those with it are dated 1784. ACCOUNTS OF THE U.S. WITH NORTH CAROLINA WAR OF REVOLUTION, Book C, page 123. This is an official record with the N.C. Historicial Commission. His residence was listed as Orange County, NC."2

Capt. Jacob Duckworth Sr. died before 1790.1
