     Penelope Cooley, daughter of William C. Cooley Jr. and Mary Polly Davis, was born on 3 February 1832 at Wayne County, Mississippi.2 Penelope Cooley was the daughter of William C. Cooley Jr. and Mary Polly Davis.2

Penelope Cooley married James Samuel Ellis, son of Lennon Brigers Ellis and Margaret Theresa Moffett, in 1850.3,43,4

Penelope Cooley appeared on the United States census of 10 September 1850 in the household of William C. Cooley Jr. at Jasper County, Mississippi.5

Penelope Cooley died on 14 November 1912 at Jasper County, Mississippi, at age 80.2 and was buried at Shady Grove Cemetery, Jasper County, Mississippi.2
