     William Travis Cherry, son of William Powell Cherry and Elizabeth Travis, was born on 17 October 1854 at Meridian, Lauderdale County, Mississippi.1,3 William Travis Cherry was the son of William Powell Cherry and Elizabeth Travis.1

William Travis Cherry appeared on the United States census of 28 July 1870 in the household of William Powell Cherry at Union Parish, Louisiana.4

William Travis Cherry married Martha Ann Heard They had 11 children which may be found p. 16, Descendants of Ezekiel Travis by John P. S. Quinn.5

William Travis Cherry appeared on the United States census of 14 June 1880 in the household of Elizabeth Travis at Union Parish, Louisiana.6

William Travis Cherry died on 11 July 1937 at age 82.3 and was buried at Spearsville Cemetery, Union Parish, Louisiana.3
